The Benefits of Portable Classrooms

Everything You Need to Know

Why would you want a portable classroom? There are many benefits to having one. You can use portable classrooms for summer school, or they can be used as emergency shelters in the event of an emergency. They are also well insulated to keep your students warm during the winter months. If you’re considering getting one, there are some things that you should know before making a purchase decision!

The first thing to consider is what kind of space you have to put the classroom. Portable classrooms need a flat, level surface and enough room for parking on either side of it as well as around it. You also want to make sure that there isn’t any overhead power lines running through your potential site; if there are, they can be dangerous during an electrical storm.

You will also want to check with your local building department about zoning laws before purchasing one. Some communities don’t allow them or limit where they can go based on what other types of structures are allowed in those areas (for example: backyard storage units). If you’re found out after buying one that this law exists, then you’ll probably lose money reselling yours because nobody else will be able to use it.

Make sure that you decide how long of a lease term works best for your school district before buying one, too. Sometimes these are available on short-term leases (most commonly summer), but other times there’s an option to get the classroom on a multi-year contract so you don’t have to pay all at once up front or worry about where another place is going to be putting their portable classrooms in future years when they want them back. There also might be some customization options through different manufacturers depending on what type of flooring and utilities come standard with theirs versus yours!
